COURTHOUSE

The Pioneer Valley: Northampton

FLOWER

This building , that some might say looks like a church, is actually the Hampshire Country Courhouse. If you ever get called to be on a Grand Jury for that matter, this is where you should report. The venerable old structure located on the corner of Main and King street, is bolstered by a newer, modren annex just behind it has a great set of frint steps that are often, taken advantage of by launching Grand Juniors. And within walking distance , you can fing some thirty restaurant, from Japanese to Morrocan, Mexican to India, and lot more in between. Its not only restaurant, though that make Northampton a lively town.Main Street is lind with interesting shops. I could do with a ten more hardware stores and a few less boutiques , but still its a pretty nice town.

HOUSE

The triplex on South Street is a good example of multi-family dwelling in the area. Built as a one family home in the 30's,it has been converted to a three family with separate entrances, heating and electricity. Thanks to the area colleges--Smith Amherst UMass, Mt.Holyoke and Hampsire Northampson has a booming rental industry.
